O. B.: March 21st. ★ H E I G H T: 5 feet and 8 inches. ★ W E I G H T: 159.3 lbs. ★ A P P E A R A N C E: Black☆Star has a well-muscled build thanks to his intense training. He possesses bright blue hair, with big spikes sticking out in the shape of a star, albeit somewhat messy. His eyes are usually mint green, though when under the influence of madness, his eyes adopt star shaped pupils, which is a distinct trait of those belonging to the Clan of the Star. Lastly Black☆Star has a big star-shaped tattoo in his shoulder also showing his heritage as a member of the Clan of the Star, which is just a shade lighter than his normal skin tone. Over the course of years, Black☆Star has made a fairly large amount of scars scattered all over his body, most noticeably a certain faint scar-line running down his right shoulder, above his tattoo — caused by Mifune during their last match. The clothing Black☆Star usually wears consist of a sleeveless black shirt from the knee down, and just a little short of being full length jeans. In front of the collar, two small grey strips adorned with rivets stretch down from the top of the collar to the breast of his shirt. Black☆Star has other similar strips around his neck in the form of a scarf, and around his waist in the form of a belt. More rives are also seen on his pockets and on the ends of his trousers. He wears gray fingerless gloves with big, heavy looking wrist weights and has a band going across the back of each hand, adorned with a star pattern. Black☆Star's shoes are basic black boots with white tips, with a star shape visible on the tow of each boot. Alternatively, Black☆Star also wears blue pants with its hemline rolled a few inches above his ankles, along with white shoes and a matching white belt, which is similar to an obi. His arms and hands are wrapped u in bandages up to the elbow, as well as his feet are to his ankles. He still wears a sleeveless top, but, in this case, it is a costume, white, muscle shirt. Another new piece of clothing is his long white scarf, wrapped around his neck with most of it hanging around loosely. If in a less than casual occasion, Black☆Star often opts for light, easy-to-move-around-in clothing. An example of a set of clothes being an orange tank top, above another black shirt of the same type, with a strange pattern Black☆Star never cared enough to try finding out what it meant, as well as a fairly small black start on the back of the neck of the shirt. With these, Black☆Star wears a pair of blue-ish grey loose trousers and light grey snickers. A huge attention-seeker, he'd beat down anyone more popular than himself in order to be popular again. He now knows better than that, however, even recognizing that his arrogance may have stemmed from some kind of superiority complex. But that is no more. Of course a man as big as him has much bigger positive aspects than negative ones! For example, Black☆Star genuinely cares for his friends. Protecting others is a priority for ninja Meister. His determination knows no bounds, Black☆Star being known for plowing forward through any adversity, whilst others may decide to run away, showing his bravery, although it may sometimes border on recklessness and stubbornness. On the same note, Black☆Star dedicates himself to a harsh constant training and to his goals in order to become stronger and more capable in order to protect everyone else. Additionally, even though it doesn't seem like it, Black☆Star actually works really hard for tests, though, in the end, he always fail at them, regardless of the effort he puts into studying. In general, Black☆Star has a really positive and up-beat temperament, often smiling, laughing and making jokes in the glummest of situations and even in middle of battle as well. His cheerful attitude sometimes acts as a support for when others are down. Most of all, however, Black☆Star is very honorable, always respecting others in the battlefield and never taking credit for something he does not deserve. By the same logic, his biggest hatred in all dishonorable things. In fact, Black☆Star would rather die then get attention for doing something evil. Things like betrayal and deception utterly disgust him. If Black☆Star has matured over the course of time, it'd be thanks to three men. Sid, Mifune and Death the Kid. They helped him make difficult decisions in his life, like choosing not to take the 'Path of the Demon' but my his way, the 'Way of the Star'. The also helped him overcome his most negative traits in his personality, like his constant arrogance and bad temper. Black☆Star began having respect for others, treating everyone like equals and being more cool-headed in battle. However, he's still slightly immature.He isn't completely formal with others, whether he should or not, and sometimes exhibit my usual headstrong and proud ways, but it doesn't go over a manageable level. His childish sense of humor is still there, which often embarrasses people, especially Tsubaki. ★ L I K E S: ☆ Tsubaki ★ D I S L I K E S: ☆ Betrayal ★ F I G H T - S T Y L E: Black☆Star may very well be the very definition of "vanguard". An unparalleled combat specialist (compared with other students) wielding a weapon capable of changing into various forms, this extraordinary Meister is a very flexible fighter, backed up with one of most powerful raw strengths to date. On the other hand, Black☆Star isn't too bright. He makes no plans, he knows not when to retreat. Even if faced with impossible odds, Black☆Star will attempt simply overpower the enemy. In fact, the stronger the opponent is, the more motivated he becomes in surpassing said opponent (if only to feed his inner ego). Thanks to Tsubaki, Black☆Star wields a large arsenal of weapons and abilities, which make him the versatile and potent warrior he is. However, while having so many options on how-to-fight, Black☆Star usually doesn't really plan which weapon he should use at which situation and picks them on a whim. One could say his fighting style is basically that. Black☆Star barely thinks on the battlefield, driven almost completely by his fighting instinct. He makes sole use of his over-the-top power, speed and interchangeability to fight whoever he may face with utmost courage and will. ★ A B I L I T I E S: Strong Wavelength: Black☆Star's ability to manipulate Wavelength is one of the best in DWMA. On top of that, it's also massive and powerful. It's so strong, he is able to blow away madness with raw power. Black☆Star also managed to "create" his own two variations of Soul Purge: Planet Destruction Cannon and Certain Kill: Black☆Star Big Wave. Planet Destruction Cannon: Simply put, it's a better version of Soul Purge. Fast and easy to do, it's one of Black☆Star's most basic abilities. Twin Planet Destruction Cannons: Double the power! It's exactly what Stein's Twin Spears is to Soul Purge. Why use one palm when you can use two? Certain Kill: Black☆Star Big Wave: One of Black☆Star's all time favorites! This attack begins with a elbow strike to stun the enemy, followed by a powerful punch sending a large shock of soul wavelength to damage the foe. Ninja Abilities: Black☆Star used to try being an assassin, though it didn't seem to work out. On the bright side, he was able to develop his five natural sense, especially hearing, along with his reflexes. On the other hand, his sixth sense, Soul Perception, totally blows. But you could say this is very useful! At least it is when up against madness, since Black☆Star can't sense it well and, therefore, be affected by it. He's also very proficient in using various Ninja Tools, namely, Tsubaki's weapon forms. Fey Blade: This is the most amazing form Tsubaki has. After her fight agaisnt her brother, Masamune, the Demon Blade, she absorbed his soul and obtained the Fey Blade. This black katana weapon has many Soul Resonances which the duo can put to use. ★ R E S O N A N C E S: Trap☆Star: This technique allows Black☆Star to set up Tsubaki in a certain area along the ground while in her Chained Scythe mode in the shape of a star. In this mode, they are able to sense any presence within the area through Tsubaki and her Soul Perception and capture the opponent before they can make a move. Speed☆Star: When resonating with Tsubaki in her Ninja Sword mode, Black☆Star attains a large speed boost to both his movements and reflexes. Shield☆Star: A star shaped golden shield is created through resonance whilst Tsubaki is in her Chained Scythe mode. Shadow☆Star: Being one of the strongest and most versatile of Black☆Star's Resonances, this is, by far, the partners' best technique. With this, Tsubaki is able to manipulate Black☆Star's shadow into a whip of sorts. She can use that to attack and/or distract their enemies. However, it's somewhat tiring to use this mode. Used to be, at least. Through intense training, Black☆Star and Tsubaki have mastered this technique to the point it harms Black☆Star no longer. Shadow☆Star: First Form "Chain of Blackness": The first from of Shadow☆Star that transforms Tsubaki into a very long blade with three smaller spike-like blades attached to the side of the hilt, as well as a lengthy black chain, which allows Black☆Star to use this weapon like a blade-whip. Shadow☆Star: Second Form "Leaf of the Moonlit Night": The second form turns Tsubaki into a four-pointed shuriken with patterns all over. This mode allows a much stronger version of the regular Shuriken mode Tsubaki has, cutting through objects much more easily. Although its main use isn't that. This shuriken has a big circular hole in its center. When Black☆Star places his fist through it, a smooth black matter covers his hand and the shuriken goes just slightly past his wrist, staying there. This black matter allows Black☆Star to release powerful blasts of energy through his hands and the four tips of the shuriken. It also gives a sizable defense boost. Fun fact: It keeps spinning around Black☆Star's arm whatever moves he may take, giving it a couple badass points. Shadow☆Star: Third Form "Severed Shadow": In this form, Tsubaki takes shape of a large Kunai and Black☆Star becomes able to move at the speed of shadow, creating tons of afterimage clones. Every single of these afterimages have their own mass, which allows Black☆Star to strikes blows into opponents from every angle. That mass also makes enemies think they've stroke the original when hit. This technique has a flaw, however. These images follow the pattern of the original's movement, which highly skilled people with good senses might guess where Black☆Star headed. Shadow☆Star: Fourth Form "Branched Darkness": But, the disadvantage from "Severed Shadow" is covered by this new form, Branched Darkness, although at the cost of a reduce number of copies. Using the same Kunai mode as before, this form enables Tsubaki to take over one of Black☆Star's after images and control it at will. The possessed afterimage is constantly receiving Black☆Star's wavelength, making it so that it has his appearance, his moves and his strength, which make this a very dangerous technique to face. Shadow☆Star: Zeroth Form "Masamune": Tsubaki's form goes back to original mode of her brother's katana, being white instead of black, while the shadow is controlled by Tsubaki. The blade is powered by Black☆Star's raw wavelength, making it extremely sharp and powerful, capable of cutting through almost anything. This can be countered by the enemy's own wavelength, however, making it a clash of spiritual energies. Additionally, the shadow Tsubaki controls can cut through our opponents and assist in Black☆Star's movement. This form is Tsubaki's ultimate form and the two's strongest weapon. This technique will only meet those worthy enough to see it. ★ S T R E N G T H S: ☆ Agile ★ W E A K N E S S E S: ☆ Loud ★ H I S T O R Y: When Black☆Star was just a tiny little star, his family, the Clan of the Star, was exterminated by DWMA. That clan was made up of ninjas and assassins who would do anything for a pretty penny. Towards the end, their lust for power drove them into consuming human souls, hence their extermination. Black☆Star was spared, though, because he was just an infant back then. A man named Sid Barret took him in and raised him like his son. Although Black☆Star doesn't show it much, he respects Sid, a lot, and looks up to him as both a father and a teacher. Black☆Star would often be asked if he held any grudge agaisnt DWMA for killing his parents, but responds with: "They just had it coming." As Black☆Star grew up, Sid also grew more and more interested in him, because he had great combat potential. But there were lots of people who judged him by his family traits, blaming Black☆Star for what the Clan of the Star had done. But he cared little. Black☆Star started taking on missions very young. Though stating "he was on fire in all his missions", Black☆Star never got to collect a single soul. Because of that, many would think little of him. But one day, during one of his "declarations of godhood", one person stood applauding. That person was none other than Tsubaki, his current Partner. She was the first to recognize Black☆Star. It was on that day that they became partners. From then, the pair had many adventures and missions. One of the most memorable, was the capture and absorption of the witch Angela Leon's soul and her bodyguard, Younjibou Mifune's Strong Soul, which was worth 99 souls. This would certainly make Tsubaki into a Death Scythe in no time! Mifune, though, proved to be a bigger obstacle than Black☆Star would've guessed. Thanks to Tsubaki's Dummy☆Star ability, he successfully hit Mifune with his Certain Kill: Black☆Star Big Wave, defeating him! Just as Black☆Star was about to land the finishing blow, Angela came flying from the sky to protect Mifune, revealing herself as a young, inexperienced witch with weak magic. Mifune showed his determination on giving up his own soul in order to protect Angela. At that point, Black☆Star couldn't bring myself to fight any longer. Mifune wasn't just fighting for the witches, he was fighting for a innocent infant. So, Black☆Star and Tsubaki decided to let them live in peace. Soon afterwards, the partners were assigned special extra lesson, as well as Maka and Soul, due to the foursome's lack of souls. The group was told Sid had been zombified by some kind of insane scientist. Their mission was to get the information on how to find that scientist from Sid. The zombie teacher, on the other hand, had no interest in doing such, so they had to beat the information out of him. Though that was easier said than done, Black☆Star managed to capture Sid in his Trap☆Star and "interrogated him". Sid gave in rather easily and the four moved on the scientist's very home, on the outskirts of Death City. This mad scientist was none other than Dr. Franken Stein, DWMA's number one Meister. Though the students were little to no match for Stein, Black☆Star was intent on defeating the mad scientist. He failed quite miserably. Fortunately, Stein was nowhere near serious and wanted only to test the students, who he also passed. From that day, Stein became the homeroom teacher for the class Black☆Star and the others were in, much to their distaste. In DWMA, classes are normally mandatory. The exception, other than the obvious usual like sickness, were duels. That school allowed the students to duel amongst themselves in order to improve their own abilities. Obviously preferring throwing punches around rather than having boring stale classes all day, Black☆Star often indulged in this rule of DWMA and, for the most part, destroyed other students during school time, usually single-handedly. There was this one duel, however. The first of a small, but important, chain of duels. Black☆Star had heard a unusual rumor about the Shinigami's very own child enrolling in DWMA. He could not resist the temptation of welcoming him... in his own special way. Along with Soul, Black☆Star waited at the school entrance for Death the Kid, who, for whatever reason, was several hours late. While Black☆Star couldn't exactly wield his old buddy, they still fought together. Though, it was hardly a even match. Even so, the two old friends managed to trip Kid up and injure him. Or rather, his hair. At that moment, the death god's OCD kicked in and caused him to faint, which was seen as a victory to Black☆Star. Only to him, it would seem. The duel's results hindered not the relationship of Black☆Star and Kid, however, for they, surprisingly, managed to become friends. Not much later, the ninja meister found himself punished in the library, doomed to clean it up. He cared little about the punishment and decided to read comic books about his favorite super hero instead. Kid happened to come by while investigating this "ultimate weapon" named Excalibur. Black☆Star, upon hearing about the weapon, forced himself into Kid's investigation. With surprising ease, the pair discovered Excalibur deep within a fairy cave. That was when they understood why it was so easy to find the so called ultimate weapon. Excalibur proved to be the most annoying being on Earth, even more so than Black☆Star himself. Unable to put up with the insufferable weapon, the two meisters abandoned Excalibur and left his home for good. Though the weapon had different plans and decided to announce loud and publicly how he will 'always be waiting for them' with a card in their school almost as massive and annoying as Excalibur himself. Never-minding that horrible meeting, Black☆Star soon was sent in a mission given specifically to Tsubaki. A mission involving her own brother, Nakatsukasa Masamune, wielder of the Fey Blade. The ninja partners were sent to a rather remote village, where the hatred for the Clan of the Star was immense. Black☆Star ignored it with all his might, though, both out of habit and to not worry Tsubaki. His efforts were in vain, however. Tsubaki was obviously worried about her partner, even if she denied out from the outside. So, Black☆Star told her his story before coming to DWMA. While she was happy the ninja meister showed his trust in her, she also felt guilty about never talking about herself. Black☆Star could also tell she wasn't comfortable about telling her story, so he said to Tsubaki that he would support her in anyway he could and that he would be more than happy to hear her out once she's got it all figured out. Before anything else could be said, the partners heard a scream from the village. As they arrived at the origin of the yell, Black☆Star only found a small child wielding a black katana. Tsubaki explained how it was one of the Fey Blade's abilities to take over a human's body while slowly devouring away at his soul. To free the kid, Black☆Star blasted his own wavelength into the body, thus disrupting the hold Masamune held on the kid's soul. Almost immediately, Tsubaki grabbed a hold of the Fey Blade and entered it herself to settle things with her brother. Black☆Star felt like it wasn't his place to involve himself in Tsubaki's business while she had yet to tell him about it, so he waited for his partner patiently while fending off the villagers who saw fit to attack the two now that they were handling Masamune. Suddenly, Tsubaki was sucked into the blade, much to Black☆Star's anguish. Desperately, Black☆Star yelled "Encore!" at the blade for what were the longest minutes in his life until a smoke spewed out of the katana. Tsubaki, then, emerged from the smoke, unharmed, saying she had gone to see her brother. While being news to Black☆Star, he decided not to make a fuss about it. Instead, he comforted his partner after she had gone through so much by offering her a long deserved embrace. Back in Death City, Black☆Star and Tsubaki reported to Shinigami-sama, who was accompanied by Soul, Maka, Kidd, Liz, Patty and even Stein. He took the opportunity to show off the new form they had attained, the Fey Blade mode. Though, it was so powerful, it drained his wavelength immediately. Their following mission was a rather weird one. It brought them to London, where they met a werewolf, named Free, on a bridge. He was pretty strong, though he was the clumsiest fighter they had yet to face. Even so, his powerful magic made him a dangerous enemy. Black☆Star attempted to finish him right of the bat with his new Soul Resonance, Shadow☆Star. However, again, it drained him from his soul wavelength before he could do any real damage to the werewolf. When he woke up, Maka was in trouble, hanging on to Soul for dear life while the werewolf hanged on to her not to fall in the frozen river below them. Using Tsubaki's Shuriken mode, Black☆Star cut the werewolf's arm off, causing him to plummet to the river's depths. As if all these major missions weren't enough, Black☆Star heard teacher Stein's warning about his "Ultra Written Test". While the ninja meister did attempt to try and study for said test, with the help of his punishment method of doing some over-the-top physical exercise (e.g. one thousand sit ups) whenever he failed a question, he decided it was more assassin like to steal the tests right from under Stein's nose on the night before the test. However, that was a grave mistake. The following day, Black☆Star woke up hanging in front of class during the test. He was beaten unconscious, bleeding and couldn't move, used as an example of what happens to those who try to cheat. Then came the day of the founding of Death City! A party was organized within DWMA, where basically everyone from the school was present. Black☆Star and his friends were having a jolly old time until Sid appeared injured from head to feet. He had been ambushed during one of his missions and insisted on getting everyone out of the room. As if on cue, the whole building began shaking. Sid and Naigus then used their Soul Resonance: Forced Burial to Stein, Maka, Soul, Kid, Liz, Patty, Tsubaki and Black☆Star who were nearby them to send the eight out of the room which was being encased in a spacial cube created by the immortal werewolf, Free. Once outside, Stein warned the group about first Kishin, the origin of Madness, who was sleeping below DWMA and Medusa, a witch disguised as a nurse who entered DWMA only with the purpose of awakening the Kishin. The group wasted no time and rushed towards the Kishin's resting place. After meeting up with Spirit, Stein's partner, they also run into Medusa, the mastermind behind the whole thing. The mad scientist engaged the snake witch in order to let the students slip past her. Kid, who was the fastest with the help of his flying skateboard, Beelzebub, rushed away, followed by the ninja Meister and Maka. While the Shinigami-sama's son simply rushes past the Dark Sword, Crona, Black☆Star was preparing to engage the unstable child when Maka asked him to take his place. After seeing how convicted she was, Black☆Star decided to let her do as she wished and ran after Kid. The two met while Kid was facing Free. Or rather, an illusion of Free. Ignoring said projection, Black☆Star and Kid arrived where the Kishin was sealed, though Free and Eruka, a frog witch blackmailed into submission by Medusa, had already arrived. While Kid was fighting it out with Free, Black☆Star had to stop Eruka from injecting black blood into the Kishin. However, at the last moment, he was infected by the Kishin's immense aura of madness and failed. Black☆Star still tried to fight the awakened Kishin, but in vain. It was all on him. The following day, Black☆Star finally woke up at Tsubaki's side after being beaten unconscious by the overuse of Fey Blade mode and the Kishin. It seemed to be a beautiful day, but then the Meister remembered about the past day's ordeals, about the resurrection he couldn't stop, costing many citizen's lives. The city was half destroyed. All because of him. Tsubaki, worried about her Meister being down and depressed, said, half-nervously: "H-Hey, Black☆Star, how about we go play some basketball with everyone?" Black☆Star couldn't let his guilt get to his partner, so he endured it and smiled, accepting her offer. Several days later, Maka came back affected by some strange witch spell that made her unable to move her body. Black☆Star attempted to cheer her up in his own way, until, Sid arrived and called Naigus out. The ninja meister followed the two and overheard them talking about a mission of theirs to infiltrate a laboratory facility of the witch Arachne's organization, the Arachnophobia, the ones at fault for Maka's state. There, Black☆Star decided to avenge his friend. For that purpose, he followed Sid and Naigus to that lab. That place was in a bambo forest, it was well hidden but it stands out as soon as you see it. Being as careless as ever, Black☆Star did little to not tick off the enemy's attention. He overpowered his way to the laboratory's entrance, where he met even more resistance. Things got hairy when a little old man, Arachne's left hand Mosquito, appeared with Angela, the little witch from quite a while ago. If she was there... Mifune was sure to follow. He was right behind the old man and Angela. Tsubaki asked why he would be working with a organization like Arachnophobia and he answered: "I raise my sword to protect children... To protect Angela. So why? Why do children like you get in my way?" Slightly insulted by his comment, Black☆Star was provoked into fighting him once again. This time, however, the result was different. Mifune utterly and completely defeated Black☆Star. Worst part, for the ninja meister, being the fact that he held back. For the second time, he held back. But, this time, Mifune didn't underestimate Black☆Star, while he, on the other hand, did. Mosquito began ordering the samurai to kill the two DWMA students, on the conditions of murdering Angela dared he not to do as he said. Mifune was about to force himself to deal the final blow when Mosquito was hit by a sniper, causing enough confusion to allow Black☆Star and Tsubaki to escape. After a long while of nothing but peaceful days, Black☆Star and Tsubaki were, once again, called by duty. Along with Maka, Ox, Kilik, Kim and their weapons, they were sent to an island where a enormous vortex containing the magic tool, Brew the Tempest, resided. They were to guard the entrance to the vortex while Stein and Marie explored its interior to find the tool. At some point, the students began worrying over the mad scientist and his partner who were taking far longer than they said they would. Black☆Star, Kid and Maka then decided to follow their teachers, leaving the others behind to defend the vortex from the invading Arachnophobia forces. Therein, the trio finds Shinigami, or rather, a vision of Shinigami in the days long before DWMA, as well as the witch Arachne. Further in, they find Stein and Marie far too affected by the vortex to stay much longer. So, the teachers are forced to leave the Brew's retrieval to their students. Shortly after, they encounter Mosquito in possession of the Brew. They attempt to steal it by brute force, but the morphing foe was not one to take down easily. However, Soul manages to increase the three meisters' physical prowess and coordination, giving them the victory. On the other hand, their time limit so staying within the vortex was reaching an end, while Mosquito's morphing ability allowed him to stay longer each time he transformed. Thus, the DWMA trio is forced to abandon the Brew. As days passed, it was easy to noticed something was wrong with Black☆Star. While he told no one, there was one man who was able to know what that was. Sid, who knew the ninja meister like a son, was aware that Black☆Star's problem resided with his lack of confidence. The Kishin's resurrection, the total defeat against Mifune, the failure of the Brew mission and, most important of all, his incapacity of mastering the Fey Blade... it all weighted down on him. It was one day, while skipping classes at school, that Black☆Star realized that there was this one loss that he wasn't admitting, even though knowing fully well he did not win that match. The duel against Kid. He had to face him again. To do so, Black☆Star broke one of the spikes adorning DWMA's entrance, thus angering Kid and convincing him to accept the duel. With Sid's arrival as the witness, the match began. While it seemed Black☆Star was going to win easy with a Soul Purge blow, his soul wavelength failed to come out. There was when Sid explained Black☆Star's predicament and pointed out that was the reason his inner flow of wavelength is disrupted. Even after Maka and Kid asked for the duel's end, Black☆Star couldn't stop there. He had to move forward. "The price for stopping me is your death!!" Seeing as Black☆Star would not stop until he was defeated, Kid decided to end it with four ground breaking blows, finally putting his foe down. It was there that Black☆Star learned something. But it certainly wasn't there that he was going to give up. Several days later, Shinigami declared war on Arachnophobia and order a full out assault on their base. Black☆Star and Tsubaki were sent to the front lines to take down major enemies such as golems. Eventually, he and Mifune crossed ways. It was fated. The ninja meister attempted to take down the samurai without usage of the black katana, but it was impossible. However, even with Shadow☆Star, there was no way Black☆Star could defeat Mifune. Not with the fear in his heart. The fear of defeat. Upon re encountering the spirit of the Nakatsukasa within the Fey Blade, Black☆Star declared his will. He was not just going to get rid of his regrets, but also the regrets of all those who fell to the Fey Blade. The fear in his heart was not going to bury him in despair. "The only time I lose is when I die. As long as I don't admit defeat... then it'll never be a loss!" With the Nakatsukasa's spirit's support and full control over the Fey Blade, Black☆Star, as if revived, had one last showdown with Mifune, coming on top. Though, just as Mifune didn't finish him off, Black☆Star didn't either. For the samurai had someone to protect. Someone to live for. Besides, he had a promise to keep. Tsubaki's request for him to become a teacher at DWMA. Meanwhile, Death City itself had arrived at the scene by, somehow, becoming mobile, and was fighting Arachnophobia's base, which was also mobile. In order to rescue Angela, Black☆Star and Tsubaki brought Mifune back into Arachnophobia territory once it was pinned down to lead them to the young witch. Black☆Star made haste and broke down the walls instead of finding their way around the maze that was that base in order to rush to their destination. Quickly he arrived at Angela's chamber, only to be greeted with, well, just as the little witch described, a kick "right in the balls". There wasn't much time for chatting, however. The Kishin had escaped from Death City and eaten Arachne's soul, thus getting even stronger. His wavelength was not only felt but seen from afar. Black☆Star chased the Kishin inside whatever barrier he was trying to raise and met Maka and Kid inside. The three combined, they felt like they could do anything. But the Kishin barely felt the meisters' attacks. Even with Soul's help, everything they did proved near useless. Eventually, Soul fell unconscious due to the black blood within him, forcing Kid and Black☆Star to fight by themselves, all while protecting Maka and Soul. The two kept a heavy series of attacks, upping their momentum more and more, eventually doing visible damage to the Kishin. Even so, the creature of madness was simply overly powerful and managed land a fatal blow on Kid. Black☆Star, not losing his faith in Kid, maintained the offense, keeping the Kishin busy as Kid got back up and charged his Death Cannons to a whole new level. The shot managed to do its job, and blew the Kishin apart... but it wasn't quite enough to finish him off. It was up to Black☆Star once again to stop the Kishin... Black☆Star wasn't capable, however. The Kishin was just too strong. But he knew that, even if he couldn't, Maka and Soul would have a way. That they would be able to take the Kishin on from where Black☆Star and Kid left him. And so she did. Throughout our adventures, me and Tsubaki made enemies and friends alike, we strengthened bonds with not just each other but with our many fellow students, we went through fun and happy experiences as well as tough and dark times, we learned lessons, sometimes painful lessons, but, most important of all, we grew. We grew both individually and as partners. All that alongside our friends.
