Exploring The City (open)

[Raine]

It was around six when Raine decided to leave her cave. Earlier, she heard a commotion around the cave, and decided to investigate the town she lived by. The girl went inside once before, but ran away when she heard a loud kid yell from the top of a extremely tall building nearby. That kid scared the hell out of her, but she was hungry. Feeding off of animals nearby and grilling them wasnt really settling her stomach anymore. So, if there was people, there would be food! But before she could even leave, she had to prepare for anything. There was no way that she could hide her ears, but she could make her kimono look more...Urban? Was that the word?

Once she left her cave, she looked like a regular teenager, except for the ears and tattoo. Her kimono was pinned up so it ended mid-thigh, and the low shoulders were pulled up to cover her scars. All in all, she looked normal, sort of. But there was another reason why she decided to wear this outfit. It was also because the small blow darts and knifes were hidden in her makeshift garter belts, and the herbs and salves were in the shoulder pockets. Being cursed never made life easier, and it sure as hell wouldnt make this girl a special case anywhere.

So with that in mind, she headed towards town, always walking in the shadows and avoiding any large area. But by the time she got to the town, she was in the middle of a...feast? There was food everywhere, varying from fruits to synthetic meat! But was it a trap? Or was it a market like her adoptive mother told her about? The only downside was, she didnt have any money...What in hell's name would she do? Steal? It looked liked the only way...Her ears flopped down as she sighed and walked towards a stand, reaching towards a red apple and grabbing it, whimpering sadly while touching it. There was nothing else she could do, and if she had to be punished, then so well be it. He main goal was food, and she has it. But how would she escape?

[Miyuki Shimizu]

She locked the door behind her as she headed down to the market. Near left early without making breakfast and the fridge was empty, he only left a note that asked her to do the shopping and informing her that he is gonna be home late. She left a long sigh as she passed through the narrow shortcut that led to the market. There was a lot to buy and the thought of her carrying it all back left a bitter taste in her mouth, especially since there was no way of her fitting through the shortcut again with the groceries.

The walk wasn't long but Miyuki was still a little moody having eaten no breakfast so it seemed like eternity to her. She could hear loud chattering as she was getting closer, big crowds wasn't a favorite either, but it had to be done. The sweet smell of food hit her immediately as she entered the market. A small detour to fill her stomach wouldn't hurt, she thought.

Having bought two bagels and munching already on the first one she headed towards the fruit stands to buy some fruit, everything looked so fresh and yummy she had a hard time deciding. As she was walking through the stands a white head caught her attention, she didn't recognize the girl but she knew she was up to no good. Miyuki after all used to steal to be able to make a living, it wasn't hard to recognize such an attempt. The girl seemed like she didn't have much experience either since there was already some bulky guy, probably some sort of market security, eyeing her up.

Miyuki went closer to the girl, quietly, trying not to startle her. She had already grabbed hold of an apple when she got there, so Miyuki threw her arm over the girl's shoulder to make sure she didn't go anywhere and put on a big smile. "It's so easy to loose you in this crowd, but at least I see you found the apples" she said cheerfully. "Mister won't you pack me ten of these please?" she turned to the stand holder. While the vendor was packing the fruit she leaned closer to the girl and whispered so no one else could hear "Is theft something your really want to be caught with? Just asking for some food around won't bring harm you know". At that moment an idea popped in her head and she smirked, "Say, how about you help me with my shopping and I will treat you to something?"

The girl tensed up and looked at the gal next to her with wide eyes. A normal human! Wow, she was really pretty, but she tilted her head to the side and whispered. "I...I dont...Live...Here...No..Money?" English was not her first languege, and it was hard for her to even speak normally. She only howled when her pack needed to be alerted to humans. But now she was face to face with one, and she was breaking a mini code, even though it helped them eat.

So when the man at the stand came back, her ears unwillingly perked up, making him gasp and the girl back away. When she walked up to him before, her pale snow white ears were flipped down to blend in with her hair, and her tail was hidden under her kimono. Now her secret was out and there was only one thing she could do. Run for the sake of her life. After afew seconds, she kicked up the stand and grabbed afew apples before high tailing it towards the middle of town, her mind filled with fear.

She dodged people and carts, and even a man in a dark suit! Everything to her was extremely bright and new, and it made Raine want to stop and stare. But if that did happen, she would be caught and stuck here probably forever. But once she ran into the middle of the town,everything in her mind stopped. So did her body. A large fountain glowed in the center plaza, and it looked oddly majestic in the late afternoon. Either it was magic water,or the glow from the sun, either way it made her heart skip a beat. It was new to her and it made her weak. Maybe being capture wouldnt be that bad.

[Black☆Star]

High hours in the morning, something around half past 5, and the ninja Meister was already up. Sleepless, restless, Black☆Star himself wondered what put him in that state. "Probably something about the fact I haven't done as much as swung my fist at something lately. I miss some action." Indeed, ever since Kishin was pulverized, things became pretty simple. Even the missions were easy peasy compared to the fight against the God of Madness. But even worse than easy missions was nothing at all. After being labeled as a "total monster of a Meister" because of his achievements and demeanor, little to no students dared to even look at him funny. And now that Tsubaki was away, life was even staler.

"It's not like standing here will change that. I'm heading out." Figured the blue haired Meister. Correctly so, because really nothing happens for oneself if he doesn't make any effort for it. On such a warm day, Black☆Star decided to dress lightly, going with a light green tank top with a black outline of a pentagram on the front, knee length jeans and white/blue sneakers. As it had seemed, the weather was pretty hot alright. Sun blazing above his head as usual, with that large, stupid grin that irked Black☆Star.

Putting that aside, the Meister than roamed the city, revisiting nearly the entirety of it. Seeing the main places, passing through a few of the most obscure corners, stopping for lunch at one point and simply taking his time to look around him for once. Had been a while ever since he took a walk like thus. Not ever since the city had been rebuilt from the Kishin's awakening that he failed to prevent. The thought somewhat depressed Black☆Star, still believing he should have been stronger. Even now he still works towards the goal of becoming as strong as possible so that nothing of the sort ever happens again. No more disasters, no more evil, no more deaths. Even if that could become a little boring, it would be for the best.

While lost in his thoughts, Black☆Star suddenly heard a commotion. Trying to locate it, the ninja climb to the rooftops in a succession of agile jumps. Said commotion was actually on the street parallel to the one he was on. The origin of it? A white haired individual running from quite the group of people. The hell is goin' on? This doesn't look too good. Never having being much of a observant kind of person, the scarred fighter then decided to intervene the only way he knew how. Black☆Star began running alongside the white figure, which he had concluded to be a female at this point, and jumped down, landing right before her and stopping on her tracks. Gently but firmly, the blue haired Meister held the girl by her shoulders while staring at her with eyes that said "Calm down, I'm here for you." Behind the girl, he could see the mob still running towards her. Putting himself between the white haired female and them, Black☆Star glared them down as he yelled. "Ok, somebody mind telling me what the hell is going on or do I have to pound some heads to get answers around here?!"

[Miyuki Shimizu]

"Oh dear" Miyuki sighed as she turned towards where the girl run off . It was first time she saw a person with dog ears, or was it wolf? 'She could be dangerous...' she thought to herself, but she shook her head and erased that thought immediately. A dangerous person wouldn't react that way. It seemed like she wasn't used to crowds or people at all, she could hardly speak! The thought of what could happen to her if she was caught by the people here was enough to make Miyuki snap out of it and she rushed after the girl.

Pushing and shoving she made her way through the crowd, not even caring to apologize, she needed to hurry, as she was getting closer to the fountain it was much thicker too. She finally made it out and she saw the girl, but she wasn't alone. In front of her was standing a guy with blue spiky hair who was glaring at the crowd around her like he was expecting something. 'Did I miss anything?' she thought to herself.

She approached the boy slowly and with caution. He seemed somewhat familiar but she was pretty sure she have never met him before. "Please don't hurt her," she addressed to him "What she did was wrong, but she was only scared and confused."

The girl yelped softly before holding onto the back of the guy with blue hair's shirt, eyes wide with fear as they all started to corner them. It was the ears that attracted the humans and Meisters and Weapons. Simply because she was different, and always would be in everbody's eyes. And that initial though made tears fall down her eyes. Maybe it was a horrible idea to leave the pack, and horrible to try and change the ways of her life.

But when somebody yelled out at her, it made her tense up scared, her ears flapping backward and her tail tucking between her legs. "Demon child! Stay away from here you Witch!" There was so much hatred in that one simple,dark sentence. Raine never knew it would hurt so bad, of how much it made her cry. But what did it matter? She would be alone soon enough.

So, without a sound, she ran away from the crowd as they started protesting about how she was bad for the neighborhood and bad for the kids, having a witch around was bad. Little did they know that she was just cursed with his shame, and it would always be there.

[Black☆Star]

Attentive to his surroundings, the blue haired ninja stood his ground. There's no way he would let a maiden in distress on her lonesome. Before enraged people, however, a cautious young blue haired girl approached the two, telling the Meister to not harm her. At the same time, Black☆Star felt a tug on his back as he stood tall amongst the mob of people surrounding him. Obviously, it was from the girl. She was scared, honestly scared. But something was off about the white haired female. She felt odd. But before the green eyed Meister could dwell on that thought, one of the angry pursuers yelled at the pursued.

"Witch?"

Was that why the female felt so weird? As the scarred Meister took another look at her, Black☆Star finally took notice of the retracted wolf ears she had on her head in place of human ones. That certainly wasn't normal. Was this witch wreaking havoc in Death City? That's pretty ballsy of her. Without any sort of plan? That's not normal.

As he stared into the "Witch" girl, she suddenly pounced away from his reach, over the less aggressive half of the crowd. "Hey, wait a just a minute!!" Without a thought, Black☆Star followed her in hot pursuit. The best (student) Meister of DWMA couldn't let a Witch escape from right under his nose, after all. With or without his partner.

But as he was catching up to her, Black☆Star wondered. Why would a Witch randomly just appear in the middle of the city like this? It's suicide. And she doesn't even look harmful... She's dead scared, even her weird ass ears showed that. Is she really evil? The ninja had never considered the thought of a "good Witch." Granted, Kim existed, but she was the exception. ...right?

Black☆Star had to find out more. The girl put up a good competition, but it was just a matter of time until he actually got her. Literally so, the Meister picked up the thin girl and held her over his shoulder, like a bag of potatoes. Wanting to be away from the public eye, Black☆Star jumped up the nearest building and settled down on top of it. Since they were far away from the original site where the angry mob was, there probably wasn't anyone near them that wanted anything to do with them. The blue haired girl still worried Black☆Star, she also seemed to want to help. But now that didn't matter, he was going to get answers for himself.

Sitting the girl and holding her down with his arms, going the extra mile just to make sure not to hurt her, Black☆Star kneeled before her to get on a closer eye level with her while keeping her in place. "Ok, now you're gonna explain to me what was going on. Slowly. Those people over there called you a Witch. And your little ears there sure don't help your case. But, even with those weird little things, you don't look like a Witch to me. At least, you don't look evil. So what's the deal here? What are you? What are you doing here?"
